Where I am from

Where I am from is deep
and seems down.
Always closer to reaching
the gold of eternity.
Touching here and there
mingling with the temperate hues
of nature.
Life beholds so many unlocked secrets
easily told, hardly heard.

Some nights I want to join
with the stars, fly into
the deep black sky. Ride home,
back away from here,
touch unto joy.

A beam of light split by the
edge of a knife, cut in two.
And life is a tightrope, I
have no balance but can see
the end.
